Commenting at a public meeting is a time consuming process.
SFBARF #1 intern, Sade Kammen, interviewed participants at the October Planning Commission hearings, she found the average wait time to be 112.5 minutes, or almost 2 hours!
We filed a complaint with the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force arguing the Brown Act (requiring the opportunity for public comment) is violated when it is impossible for the public to know when their item of interest will be called.
